A Little About West Wendover
Nestled against the Nevada-Utah border, West Wendover is a thriving tourism destination— The City is situated in eastern Elko County along the Nevada/Utah border. West Wendover is best known for “Wendover Will,” the giant iconic Cowboy who happily welcomes visitors to West Wendover and Nevada daily. Logistically, West Wendover resides along Interstate-80 and is the termination point for alternate US-93. Further, the Union Pacific rail line passes directly through the community.
West Wendover currently has a 35-acre industrial park at the crossroads of I-80 and US-93A and adjacent to the Union Pacific Railroad, West Wendover’s city-owned industrial park project (phase 1) offers a variety of low cost parcels for warehousing, transportation and more. Adjacent to the city-owned park, is nearly 2,200 acres of privately owned property whose owner is flexible and willing to negotiate reasonable terms for sale.
Currently, West Wendover’s primary economic engine is recreation and tourism drawing millions every year to local casinos and events such as the Bonneville Speed Races and the Annual Wendover Air Show. West Wendover officials have secured funding to develop a brand new downtown area that will not only enhance the quality of life within the community but encourage future economic diversification for the city.
